Interview with perpetuo | Challenge owner first round

be a part

Perpetuo joined in the first round of the DOaccelerate Program and told us about their motives to participate and the results of the collaboration with the startup. Learn also how they experienced the process and organization of the program.

Who is perpetuo?

perpetuo is an internationally operating company group based in Dortmund (Germany) and Prague (Czech Republic). Core business is the management consulting boutique in the fields of Venture Management, Strategy Execution and Restructuring. This includes strategic implementation projects, development of new markets and transnational restructuring projects as well as development, project planning and launch of new business models as a startup. Their clients are Dax-30 companies.

What was the challenge?

perpetuo launched a full entrepreneurial eco-system with over 50 seats for a Co-Working Space as member club. The startups should create a 100% digital, smartphone-based operating solution for e.g. access management, rent of seats/offices, billing and other things for the company (administrator) and users (freelancer, start-ups, corporates, VCs).

How did perpetuo experience the DOaccelerate program?

Christian Kersten and Milan Kölling from perpetuo enjoyed the DOaccelerate Program a lot. They describe the experience as pleasant and extremely valuable. For them the program offers additional value for both parties, the startup and the corporate.

perpetuo already had a concrete challenge but not enough resources to find the right solution. The DOaccelerate program was the platform to match with a startup and find the perfect solution which turned out to be a white label solution to cover the entire process from new customer acquisition to the registration in the Co-Working-Space – all within one tool.

Organization of the digital first round

Perpetuo highlights the well-organized process of the week and although it was a pity that the startups could not be present the collaboration went smoothly. Everything ran via Slack and Zoom and was very flexible but well structured. Moreover, you always had a contact to ask.

Lessons learned from DOaccelerate

perpetuo learned that sometimes you need a third party which gives you food for thought and a new view on your own operations and challenges to find the best solution. You do not always have to reinvent the wheel, but you need somebody who can work continuously on your challenge.

They would always recommend the DOaccelerate program 100%. There are incredibly good solutions and startups nobody knows. The program offers the possibility for corporates to escape their old views on challenges. For startups there could not be a better opportunity to build up contacts and an own foothold. Even if the solution might not fit 100%, both parties will benefit from the exchange of the DOaccelerate program.
